We will decrease the effects of post-concussion and second impact syndrome by properly caring for the brain.

What is a post-concussion syndrome?

Post-concussion syndrome usually includes a combination of continual post-concussion symptoms, which last after the concussive injury. The intensity of the concussive injury does not necessarily to determine post-concussion syndrome and related symptoms. However, patients with post-concussion syndrome often suffer physically, psychologically, behaviorally, and cognitively. Our concussion therapy office can significantly help with all of the aforementioned components.

What is a second impact syndrome?

When athletes return to the field before their brain and body has healed from the first concussion, another injury to the head could result in second impact syndrome also known as brain swelling, which is often fatal. Concussion recovery is different for each individual, as brain chemicals become imbalanced requiring stabilization before returning to play. This is why athletes must be evaluated and treated at ProNeuro Health. Athletes should not begin playing again if concussion symptoms are still present.

You do not have to suffer, and we can decrease your symptoms, worry, and improve your brain protection at our concussion recovery clinic.
